Phil Bennetts — Pianist & Composer
Preludes
Phil Bennetts is a British composer writing for solo piano, drawing on the harmonic poetry of the Romantic tradition and the cinematic lyricism of modern film music.
He is currently composing a cycle of twenty-four preludes — a project that has already been several years in the making, with hundreds of musical sketches written and abandoned and only a few developed to completion. The work is guided by the wish to create music that will stand the test of time, with the aim of performing the complete collection in concert when ready.
